General information on the Database system
X-ref is a web based database system for storing searching and presenting all types of information. X-ref can be used by all organizations that handle metadata. A document record can represent anything; a report, an application, an image, a person or anything that suits your organization.
The system administrator can assign different properties to an item field, a field can for instance be a number field or a date field. The system administrator can apply different controls prior to an item being saved; fields can be mandatory, fields can have a filter specifying exactly how the information should be structured, fields can have duplicate control etc.
